Plate installation acts as a barrier between your catalytic converter(s) and the thief. Platinum Shield is a thick metal plate attached to your sub-frame using hardware that is difficult to remove. With enough time and the right tools this plate can be cut and pried away just like any other metal.   

You may ask yourself, why install this shield on my car? Platinum Shield is installed with the intent to increase the time that it would take to steal your catalytic converter(s). Increasing the time that it would take the thief to commit the crime increases the chance of apprehension and will deter the attempt.

These shields are custom-made to fit your vehicle and made from high-grade 12 gauge 304 stainless steel. These shields are heavy-duty and also reinforced with metal strips to make them even more difficult to cut. The installation will require holes to be drilled into the subframe to anchor the shield to the frame. Each shield will be installed to give access to the O2 sensor for smog reasons.

Hardware loosening over years of use like any other mechanical parts on a vehicle that requires maintenance (Lug Nuts) causing the shield to become unattached from the vehicle will be the owner's responsibility.

Offroading or unusual abuse of the shield can dent the shield causing damage which will be the owner's responsibility.
